Joshua ‘Joshy’ Schuetz: Long road to recovery for eight-year-old boy after horror quad bike crash in BaliHuntington Beach councilmember Tony Strickland running to replace Janet Nguyen in state SenateFollowing their Week 11 bye, the Arizona Cardinals are back on the field this Sunday when they play in Seattle against the Seahawks. Riding a four-game winning streak, this could be the most important game of the Cardinals' season. First and foremost, Sunday's matchup between the Cardinals and Seahawks could be for the NFC West division lead (depending on how the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers additionally fare). Arizona currently holds the advantage at 6-4 while all three other teams are 5-5, and with a loss to Seattle they would fall behind the Seahawks via head-to-head tiebreaker. With a win, though, the Cardinals would cement themselves as contenders in the NFC playoffs. Despite their current hot streak, one thing they still lack is a signature win in 2024. Their four-game run includes only one victory over a team with a record of .500 or better, a 17-15 nailbiter at home over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week Seven. The Cardinals did beat the 49ers on the road by a score of 24-23 in Week Five, but were 1-3 entering that game and not perceived to be a playoff threat by most people. Now they are the hunted by the rest of their division, and Sunday's game will be the highest stakes they've faced in 2024. Arizona is favored by one point over the Seahawks on the road, and this game should be considered a true toss-up. The Seahawks earned themselves an impressive win in San Francisco just this past Sunday, and are never an easy out. This game could define the Cardinals' season. With a loss, they're back to being indistinguishable from the rest of their division. With a win, though, they're the clear leaders of the pack.

Phnom Penh, Nov 23 (IANS): Representatives of Asian political parties on Saturday reiterated the significance of global and regional cooperation in enhancing civilisational connectivity, inter-generational solidarity and cultural diversity, said a Phnom Penh statement. Such cooperation will transform cultural assets into resources for peace and reconciliation, the statement said. The statement was issued after the third meeting of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), which was held in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia. The meeting was attended by representatives of 49 political parties from 28 countries and regions. The representatives supported the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in its endeavours to encourage all stakeholders to fulfill their duty of ensuring the identification, protection, and conservation of their cultural and natural heritage by upholding a culture of respect of civilisations as a compass for a human future. "We emphasised that the Silk Road is millennia-old route of exchanges of trade, culture and religion, as well as dialogue and knowledge between the East and the West that has contributed greatly to the common prosperity of humankind," the statement said. The representatives recognised the lack of intercultural understanding and interfaith dialogue as root causes of extremism and conflicts, intolerance, discrimination, social tensions and political instability in recent years, and emphasised the importance of a multilateral framework as a mechanism to enhance cultural dialogue in promoting better understanding of civilisations, Xinhua news agency reported. They recognised that a culture of innovation is best understood as the adoption of novel solutions, practices and processes to address existing problems and emerging challenges, with the ultimate aim of securing peace and promoting sustainable development. "In this regard, we stressed that digital technology and digitalization can contribute to promoting better appreciation of various civilisations as a foundation of a shared humanity," the statement said.TAB Chasing the Fox: Daniel Hillier added to star studded field, aspiring youngsters to attend, Fox Sports picks up broadcast

Commerce Department to reduce Intel's funding on semiconductorsDaniel Jones has fallen a long way since his status as the New York Giants' franchise quarterback earlier this season. After the Giants' Week 10 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers, Jones was benched, demoted to third-string quarterback, then released by the franchise. Jones officially cleared waivers on Monday, making him an unrestricted free agent able to sign with any team of his choosing. Many expected Jones to sign with a team in need of an immediate starting QB. But according to recent reports from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, it appears the 27-year-old signal caller could be open to taking a backup role. Jones reportedly wants to sign with a playoff contender, and Schefter reported Baltimore and Minnesota as possible destinations. If Jones were to sign with Baltimore, he would serve as a backup option behind MVP frontrunner Lamar Jackson. Ravens as a backup seems to make a lot of sense The 7-4 Ravens are poised for a potential deep run in the postseason. Jackson is in the midst of yet another MVP-caliber season, completing 67% of his passes for 2,876 yards, 25 touchdowns and three interceptions so far this year.
